GUIDE BOOK PUBLISHED ON INVESTING IN ISKANDAR

A new book has been published which reveals the secrets of investing in Iskandar, Malaysia, from a Singaporean perspective.

The book, Get It Right Iskandar, is co-authored by Getty Goh and Khalil Adis. It’s aimed at the average investor and provides easy-to-read information to help property buyers navigate the buying procedures across the causeway.

According to data from Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), Singapore is currently the top investor in this special economic zone after Spain. More than 90 percent of property owners in Iskandar, particularly Nusajaya, are believed to be Singaporeans.

Goh, Director of Ascendant Assets, said: “After numerous rounds of cooling measures, many Singaporeans are now looking for alternative investment destinations. With developments in Iskandar taking shape, many investors are hoping to make good profits by investing in the region.”

“Apart from investors, we have noticed quite a number of elderly Singaporeans are looking to buy something in Iskandar for their retirement. Hence, we think that it is timely to write this book to provide these groups of consumers with essential information that could make a huge impact on their property purchase”.

Adis, Associate Research Director (Iskandar Malaysia) at Ascendant Assets and an experienced property journalist, said: “We hope by writing this book we can empower readers on the things that they need to watch out for when buying a property across the causeway.”

“While there has been significant interest among Singaporeans when investing in Iskandar, they also need to do their due diligence so as to minimise their risk when buying a property there.”
The book, priced at S$21, is available to order online at www.getitright-iskandar.com. It is also available to all good book stores in Singapore.
